  I believe this feature would be quite useful in my industry (Solid Waste transfer station). Our POS system already utilizes this : it can fill a field with the plate number, which references the ticket number.

  While we will be looking at this feature later this year I don't believe Java would be our most efficient route for detection, but I'm not a developer either.
